MovieWarp Review
The MovieWarp staff attended a screening at the Metreon Cinema in downtown San Francisco, an excellent theater by the way. We choose Dredd based on the Rotten Tomatoes score 77 critics / 86 audience. To my surprise and dismay (tomato meter is usually very accurate), we found the plot very thin (escape a building), weak characters, cheesy overall, we walked out an hour in. If you like gory shoot-em-up then you may like it. Some great 3D effects on the 3D version. Overall I would say this is a rental/stream if that. -Warp

Synopsis
In the future, America is a dystopian wasteland. The latest scourge is Ma-Ma, a prostitute-turned-drug pusher with a dangerous new drug and aims to take over the city. The only possibility of stopping her is an elite group of urban police called Judges, who combine the duties of judge, jury and executioner to deliver a brutal brand of swift justice. But even the top-ranking Judge, Dredd, discovers that taking down Ma-Ma isn’t as easy as it seems in this explosive adaptation of the hugely popular comic series.
