Protecting the environment appealed to young Jenny Deller. In junior high school, she began a recycling program and planted trees. “It’s always been an issue that has interested me,” she said. But the Columbus resident was also interested in writing and making movies.

Costume designer from Lower Mount Bethel 'fell in love' with indie film's script. With a pair of movies, a TV show and an NBC pilot in the pipeline, costume designer Amy Roth has never been busier. Over the last year, the Lower Mount Bethel Township resident has costumed such actors as Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan, Meagan Good and Blair Underwood.

Albany, N.Y.-based jam band Conehead Buddha amassed a big following in the 1990s by playing festivals, including H.O.R.D.E. and the Chaffee Gathering in nearby Girard. Their spirited, horn-kissed tunes featured ska and Latin influences, and their surging rhythms compelled you to dance.
